KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 16 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s talented young rider Muhammad Hakim Danish finished 14th in the Moto3 race at the Valencia Grand Prix (GP) at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Spain, today.
The 18-year-old, racing for the FRINSA MT Helmets MSi team as a replacement for injured Japanese rider Ryusei Yamanaka, worked hard to put up a strong fight and secure two points after starting the race from 18th on the grid.
The race saw Leopard Racing rider Adrian Fenandez emerge champion with a time of 32 minutes 48.909 seconds, followed by Red Bull KTM’s Ajo Alvaro Carpe (+0.286s) in second place and Honda Team Asia rider Taiyo Furusato (+0.109s) in third.
The Valencia GP is the final Moto3 race of the season.
Hakim Danish had earlier been announced as a full-season rider in the Moto3 class at next year’s MotoGP World Championship with the same team.
