TH Must Strengthen Efforts To Build Savings Culture Among Youth - Zulkifli

KUALA NERUS, Nov 21 (Bernama) -- Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) must intensify its strategic efforts to encourage more young Malaysians to make regular savings with the institution.

Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan said this was crucial to ensure that TH remains relevant and able to compete with other Islamic financial institutions.

“We aim to draw more people, especially the younger generation, to save with TH. This is one of the reasons why TH is currently undertaking rejuvenation efforts,” he told reporters after officiating the Tanweer MADANI Programme (Zamalah Retreat Series 2) organised by Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia here today.

Zulkifli also voiced strong confidence in TH’s capability as the institution entrusted with overseeing and facilitating the haj journey of Malaysian pilgrims in the Holy Land.

“TH is recognised by the Saudi Arabian government as the best haj management body in the world, and we remain confident in its excellent management capabilities,” he said.
