Flood Hit Changlun, Padang Sanai Police Stations

ALOR SETAR, Nov 24 (Bernama) -- Days of unrelenting rain in Kedah has caused Changlun police station in the Kubang Pasu district and Padang Sanai police station in the Padang Terap district to be flooded.

Kubang Pasu police via its official Facebook post stated that Changlun police station had to be temporarily closed due to flood currently hitting the district.

 "All police reports can be made at the Bukit Kayu Hitam police station or any nearby police station," said the statement.

Meanwhile, the statement also alerted that Kodiang to Padang Sera road is completely closed to all vehicles starting from the Kampung Meribut to Padang Sera junction. All vehicles are to use the Kampung Meribut-Kampung Pering-Kampung Kubang Menerong-Napoh highway detour.

The Napoh-to-Wang Perah road is also closed to light vehicles from KM 0.5 to KM1.5 near Kampung Jeragan, Kampung Kubang Betong and Kampung Bukit.

"Flood waters have reached 600 cm (two feet deep) as of 4 pm today. The alternative route for users is Jalan Kampung Belukar-Kampung Padang Panjang-Kampung Perik," he said.
