Perak Budget 2026: Perak Civil Servants Receive Two Months' Bonus, Haj Pilgrims Receive RM1,000

IPOH, Nov 25 (Bernama) -- The Perak state government announced a Special Financial Aid (BKK) of two months’ salary for civil servants under the state government’s administration, which will be paid in December. 

Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said the bonus will also be applicable to Ex Officio members, state executive council members, state-appointed teachers under the Perak Public Service Commission, Orang Besar Jajahan and MySTEP contract staff.

"The state government is pleased to extend a BKK payment of RM600 (RM300 monthly x two months) to chairmen of Village Development and Security Committees, Traditional Villages, New Chinese and Indian Villages as well as Tok Batins of Orang Asli Villages, while RM400 (RM200 monthly x two months) will be paid to KAFA, I’dadi and Thanawi teachers,” he said when presenting the Perak Budget 2026 at the state legislative assembly at Perak Darul Ridzuan Building here today.

Also, BKK payments of two months’ allowance totaling RM20,000 will be given to all constituency service centres as recognition of the role played by assemblymen as a bridge between the government and the public.

In addition, Saarani also announced increasing the allowance of KAFA teachers from RM200 to RM400 a month effective Jan 1, 2026, bringing the total allowance to RM1,500, including the RM1,100 provided by the Federal Government.

The measure would benefit 3,310 KAFA teachers and 80 I’dadi and Thanawi teachers in Perak with an additional financial implication of RM9.4 juta a year for the state government, inclusive of Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) and Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) contributions.

Saarani also announced good news for Haj pilgrims as for the first time ever, the state government will allocate RM1,000 each to over 3,000 Haj pilgrims from Perak who will perform the Haj next year, with a financial implication of RM3 million.

Besides that, the monthly allowance for chiefs of Traditional Villages, Chinese and Indian Villages will be raised by RM100, for a total of RM900 a month effective Jan 1, 2026.

"The raise will benefit 996 village chiefs in Perak with a financial implication of RM4.8 million for the state government, an annual increase of RM1.4 million,” he added.

Saarani tabled the Perak Budget 2026 totaling RM1.61 billion, involving an estimated management expenditure of RM1.045 billion and development expenditure of RM568 million.
