Bursa Suspends Intraday Short Selling Of D&O Green Tech

26/11/2025 12:47 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 26 (Bernama) -- Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd today suspended intraday short selling (IDSS) of D&O Green Technologies Bhd for the rest of the day.

In a filing, the exchange operator said the halt was triggered after D&O’s share price fell more than 15 per cent, or 15 sen, from its reference price.

“The short selling under IDSS will only be activated on Thursday, Nov 27, 2025, at 8.30 am,” it said.

D&O shares slid in early trade after the company reported a weaker-than-expected cumulative nine-month performance, posting a net loss of RM168.04 million compared with a net profit of RM37.29 million a year earlier. Revenue declined 8.7 per cent to RM741.59 million from RM812.62 million.

At 11.22 am, D&O was down 18 sen, or 16.51 per cent, at 91 sen, with 34.34 million shares traded.

The group also recorded its largest quarterly net loss of RM169.09 million for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2025, compared with a net profit of RM18.25 million in the same period last year, dragged by one-off inventory impairments totalling RM250.46 million.

MBSB Investment Bank said in a note that the automotive market outlook remains challenging and it does not expect a meaningful recovery for the group in the fourth quarter of 2025.

“We are downgrading our recommendation for D&O to ‘sell’ from ‘neutral’, with a lower target price of 77 sen (previously 95 sen),” it said.
