SANDAKAN, Nov 27 (Bernama) -- Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Karamunting state seat, Datuk Chin Kim Hiung, has outlined three key thrusts aimed at driving sustainable development in the constituency.
Chin, in a statement today, said the focus areas comprise strengthening the tourism sector in Pasir Putih, empowering small and medium enterprise (SME) entrepreneurs, and implementing a comprehensive youth development programme.
He said that in addition to the three thrusts, he is also committed to resolving longstanding issues involving water supply, electricity and road infrastructure to improve the quality of life for residents in the constituency.
“If given the mandate, I will establish a special team to tackle these three critical issues - water supply, electricity and roads.
“We must address these basic needs first before we can effectively implement long-term development plans for Karamunting,” he said.
Chin expressed confidence that the three development thrusts and the three major issues can be effectively addressed, noting that BN has a proven track record in delivering sustainable development through strong leadership and consistent policy implementation.
“Therefore, I urge voters to remember that their vote is not only about choosing a representative, but also about shaping the future direction of Karamunting’s development for generations to come,” he added.
Polling for the 17th Sabah Election, involving 73 state seats, is scheduled to take place this Saturday (Nov 29).
