Nylea Crowned Dewi Remaja 2025

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 29 (Bernama) -- Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) student Nylea Adzlan lived up to public expectations when she emerged as Dewi Remaja 2025, despite having no prior experience in acting or hosting.

The talent of the sweet 23-year-old stood out as one of the most consistent contestants throughout the competition, often delivering outstanding performances.

“I had no experience before this, and for every challenge faced, I simply did my best with what I had at that moment,” she said at a press conference after the Dewi Remaja 2025 Finale Watch Party held here last night.

Born in Kuala Lumpur, the young woman also proved that her busy schedule pursuing a Bachelor of Economics did not stop her from giving her best in the competition, even though she only slept two hours a day.

“Alhamdulillah for this victory. All the sacrifices have finally paid off,” she said, expressing gratitude for the support of the judges and fellow contestants who helped her understand and face each challenge throughout the competition.

Nylea said that although she will be more active in the entertainment industry moving forward, she will still continue her studies until completion.

“Previously, I focused 100 per cent on my studies, but now I will divide it 50-50 because Dewi Remaja is a new commitment for me. Both should be balanced.

“It doesn’t mean that to start something new like entering the entertainment world, we must stop what we already have, which is our studies. We can do both simultaneously if we have the interest and determination,” she said.

Her win as Dewi Remaja 2025 also places her on a promising path to follow in the footsteps of past finalists such as Scha Al-Yahya, Neelofa, Shaza Bae and Aleeza Kassim, who have all become prominent figures in the entertainment industry.

Meanwhile, the title of first runner-up went to Nelysa Kay, 22; Penang-born Dheper, 23, placed third; and fourth place went to Marisa, 20.

The Dewi Favourite title was won by Sharmaine, 25, while Penang contestant Elisa Chew, 21, clinched the Dewi Friendship title.
