SEA Games: Intan Sarah, Steffie Among 23 Women Footballers Spearheading M'sia's Challenge

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 2 (Bernama) -- Experienced striker Intan Sarah Anisah Zulgafli is among the 23 women footballers who spearhead Malaysia’s challenge in the women’s football event at the 2025 South East Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand this month.

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) announced the women’s fooball squad in a statement today, which includes experienced players such as Steffi Sarge Kaur and goalkeeper Nurul Azurin Mazlan, who played for Misaka United FC in India.

Malaysia has been drawn into Group B with Vietnam, Myanmar and the Philippines and is set to play Vietnam in the opening match on Friday, followed by Myanmar (Dec 8) and finally the Philippines (Dec 11) in Chonburi.

Only the group champions and runners-up will advance to the semi finals.

The following is the final list of 23 players for the national women’s football team for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand, scheduled from Dec 9 to 20:
