Hong Kong Open: Sivasangari To Battle Hania In Quest For Semi-finals Slot

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 2 (Bernama) -- National squash player, S. Sivasangari will determine the semi-finals spot at the Hong Kong Open 2025 against world number two from Egpyt, Hania El Hammamy.

During the second round of the tournament held at the Hong Kong Squash Centre, the world number six Sivasangari, got past Melissa Alves of France, 11-8, 5-11, 11-5, 11-7, to check into the quarter-finals.

Hania, on the other hand, cleared the second round hurdle against Welsh player Tesni Murphy, 11-6, 11-2, 7-11, 11-8.

On paper, seventh seed Sivasangari faces a daunting challenge, having won only twice in eight previous encounters against the top-seeded Egyptian.
