06/12/2025 08:10 PM

PUTRAJAYA, 6 Dis (Bernama) -- All state secretaries have given their full commitment to cooperating with the federal government in implementing public service reforms, putting political differences aside for the people’s benefit, said Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.

He said this was conveyed during the Special Pleno Session Meeting he chaired today, which took place in conjunction with the Rancakkan MADANI Bersama Malaysiaku Programme and the 2025 National Convention on Public Service Reform.

“When we talk about public service reform, it goes beyond the Federal Government level...it must driven together by the state and local governments,” he told Bernama.

When asked about room for improvement after three years of the MADANI Government’s administration, Shamsul Azri said every government initiative is guided by two key principles, which are leaving no one behind and prioritising the well-being of the people.

“Actually, everything we do is based on the principle that no one is left behind and that all our actions are for the well-being of the people. The steps ahead will follow these two principles,” he said.

Commenting on the Rancakkan MADANI Programme, Shamsul Azri said that as of 1 pm today, the number of visitors had reached 177,000, reflecting the pepole’s interest in and support for public service transformation efforts.

He said the highlight of tomorrow’s programme would be the Special Convention Session, to be officiated by Deputy Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, who are expected to present the government’s achievements over the past three years and its future plans.

“This convention offers a clear view of our achievements over the past three years and what the focus of reforms will be for the next two years. The closing ceremony is scheduled to be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at 11 am,” he said.

The second day of the Rancakkan MADANI programme continues tonight with the Gema Qalbi Concert, organised by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia, showcasing soulful nasyid performances from top local artistes including Faizal Tahir, Raqib Majid, UNIC and INTEAM, from 9 to 11 pm.

The three-day Rancakkan MADANI programme, which began yesterday, features over 300 public service touchpoints, a career carnival, interactive showcases, family entertainment and special promotions for visitors.

Organised by the Prime Minister’s Office through the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU), the event targets 300,000 attendees. It runs from 9 am to 10 pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 9 am to 6 pm on Sunday.

Building on the momentum of the One Year with the MADANI Government and Two Years with the MADANI Government programmes, Rancakkan MADANI continues the government’s annual tradition of reporting its achievements directly to the people.

Held concurrently is the 2025 National Convention on Public Service Reform, which brings together policy thinkers from the civil service and industry players.
