MADANI Adopted Village: JPPM Implements 14 Infrastructure Upgrading Projects In Kg Amar Penghulu, Jelebu

SEREMBAN, Dec 6 (Bernama) -- The Department of Industrial Relations Malaysia (JPPM), through the MADANI Adopted Village initiative, is implementing improvements and upgrading basic infrastructure in Kampung Amar Penghulu, Jelebu, involving 14 projects with an allocation of RM1 million.

It said in a statement here today that the project was implemented over a period of three months from August to November, involving the construction of an open hall, repair of the cemetery fence, construction of an abattoir and upgrading of four suraus.

In addition, JPPM also repaired the Dewan Budaya of Sekolah Kebangsaan Dato' Amar Penghulu, the water drainage system, replaced the roof, and installed wire mesh at the community hall and installed solar streetlights in the village among others.

"The implementation of the project can increase the comfort of the local community and provide a more conducive space for community activities and community economic development," according to the statement.

The launching ceremony of the MADANI Adopted Village was officiated by the former JPPM director-general (DG) Khalid Jali in Kampung Amar Penghulu. Also present were JPPM DG Aminuddin Ab Rahaman, and the Jelebu Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias.

Also held at the programme were free haircut services, MADANI Rahmah Sales, a free Petrol coupon programme, and booths and advisory services organised by the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO), the Employes Provident Fund (EPF) and the National Registration Department (JPN).
