WRUR: 73 Per Cent Of 1,993 Complaints Resolved

07/12/2025 12:10 PM

MELAKA, Dec 7 (Bernama) -- A total of 73 per cent of the 1,993 complaints received during 10 Wakil Rakyat Untuk Rakyat (WRUR) programmes held in Melaka this year have been successfully resolved so far.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said the figure was not the true measure of success, adding that the real achievement lies in the smiles and relief of the people when their issues are heard and addressed.

“With that in mind, I urge all residents of the Bukit Katil state constituency to make the most of this opportunity by submitting your complaints, views, and suggestions directly to the exco members and elected representative present.

“I hope that during the two-week WRUR programme in Bukit Katil constituency, every issue raised will not only be recorded but also carefully considered, followed up on, and resolved according to priority,” he said at the state-level National Integrity and Anti-Corruption Day celebration and the launch of the Bukit Katil WRUR programme here today.

Also present were Deputy Defence Minister Adly Zahari, who is also Bukit Katil assemblyman, and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Deputy Chief Commissioner (Operations) Datuk Seri Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya.

In his speech, Adly said a total of 258 complaints and requests from Bukit Katil constituents had been recorded for review and action by the relevant government agencies and departments, under the supervision of the state executive councillors.
