PUTRAJAYA, Dec 7 (Bernama) -- Visitors to the three-day Rancakkan MADANI programme here did not miss out on checking out the RAHMAH Sale to buy necessities at lower-than-market prices.

Checks by Bernama revealed that not only were visitors snapping up basic necessities like rice and cooking oil, but parents were also taking the opportunity to buy school supplies on sale for their children.

Ramiza Abd Razak, 56, was delighted as she explained that how the savings she got from the RAHMAH Sale helped her manage her daily expenses.

“It’s really cheap, disposable diapers for my grandchild is usually RM33 or RM34, but today it’s only RM22. Cooking oil and egg prices are very different (compared to market prices),” she said.

Fellow visitor, Nurfarah Ain Abd Razak, 37, said she always made it a point to visit the RAHMAH Sale as she did not want to miss the opportunity to buy daily necessities.

“If there is a RAHMAH Sale, we definitely won’t miss it as it’s hard to get prices like this. I buy a lot of dried goods such as instant mee and biscuits,” she said.

Aiman Muzzammil Suhaimee, 28, meanwhile targets food items such as eggs, rice and cooking oil, as he says they always are sold at prices that are lower than usual.

The Rancakkan MADANI programme, which began on Friday, also offers over 300 touch-point services, a career carnival, interactive exhibitions, family entertainment and various special offers for visitors.

The national-scale programme, organised by the Prime Minister’s Office under the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU), had an estimated 300,000 visitors.
