KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 7 (Bernama) -- DPMM FC notched their second Super League win this season after beating Imigresen FC 4-2 at Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, Brunei tonight.

Imigresen started strong with Wilmar Jordan Gil scoring in the fifth minute but the early goal seemed to have stung the home team into action and ten minutes later, DPMM FC equalised through Azwan Ali.

Then Hakeme Yazid scored a brace of goals for DPMM FC in a span of five minutes, his first in the 21st and the second in the 26th to put the home team firmly in the driver’s seat as the match entered halftime.

Imigresen enjoyed a brief resurgence during the second half, when Wilmar Jordan Gil found the net once again with a penalty in the 71st minute to close the gap to 3-2, but it was all in vain as Miguel Oliveira tucked in DPMM’s fourth and last goal of the match in the 86th minute.

Even with tonight’s win, Imigresen remains ninth in league standings with nine points, while tonight’s winner DPMM is 10th with a single point dividing the two teams.

Meanwhile, Penang FC remained firmly anchored at the bottom of the league standings after they lost 1-5 to Selangor FC at the City Stadium, Penang tonight as Selangor’s Chrigor Florest Moraes scored a personal hattrick.

There were lighting issues that forced the match to stop twice in the first half, first in the second minute when the floodlights failed for about 20 minutes and Selangor FC captain Faisal Halim opened up accounts in the 26th minute after play resumed.

Play was suspended again in the 42nd minute due to lighting issues and resumed with an additional 28 minutes time added.

Selangor FC’s second goal came in the 50th minute courtesy of midfielder Picha Autra who pounced on a ricochet from Faisal’s shot that hit the goalpost, while Chrigor scored his team’s third goal - the first of his personal hattrick - in the 57th minute, and then another goal - Selangor’s fourth and his second personal goal - two minutes later.

Chigor completed his hattrick with his third goal - Selangor’s fifth and final goal - in the 75th minute, while Penang FC’s sole consolation goal came from Tchetche Kipre.

Selangor’s win means that the Red Giants are currently fourth in league standings with 19 points.
