UN Security Council To Hold Emergency Meeting On Israel's Recognition Of Somaliland

NEW YORK, Dec 28 (Bernama-WAFA) -- The United Nations Security Council is set to hold an emergency session on Monday evening to discuss Israel's recognition of the Somaliland region in Somalia as an independent country, Palestine News and Info Agency (WAFA) reported.

The meeting will be convened under the agenda item titled “Threats to international peace and security.”

The council is also scheduled to hold a separate session on the situation in the occupied Golan Heights, including a briefing on the report of the United Nations secretary-general regarding the international force operating in the area.
