500 Children In Sepang Parliamentary Constituency Receive School Supplies

SEPANG, Jan 10 (Bernama) -- A total of 500 children from the Sepang parliamentary constituency received school supplies, including uniforms, stationery and backpacks worth RM183 each.

Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Aiman Athirah Sabu said that the programme was organised by the Sepang parliamentary constituency service centre with the assistance of Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan and Yayasan Taqwa Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP).

"It is part of the continuous effort to help reduce the burden of parents and to ensure children can start their new schooling session well prepared.

"The MADANI government will remain committed to helping those in need, especially in terms of education, so no child is left behind and every generation has a chance for a brighter future,” the Sepang MP posted on Facebook today.

She added that she has channelled allocations of RM3.7 million in her parliamentary constituency, with over RM1 million specially for education initiatives to ensure educational access and support for local communities.

"May this initiative spur the children to continue striving for success in education,” she added.
