KLCI Futures End Broadly Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed broadly higher in tandem with the firmer underlying cash market.   

At the close, the January 2026 and March 2026 contracts rose 16.5 points each to 1,701.5 and 1,686.5, respectively. February 2026 advanced 16.0 points to 1,704.5 while June 2026 climbed 17.0 points to 1,687.5. 

Turnover increased to 8,238 lots from 7,427 lots on Friday, while open interest went up to 41,460 contracts from 40,951 contracts previously. 

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI gained 8.90 points, or 0.53 per cent, to 1,695.44 from last Friday’s close of 1,686.54.

The benchmark index hit a fresh six-year high on Monday on sustained buying interest.
