PUTRAJAYA, Jan 12 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today continued recording the statement of a senior Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) officer as part of its probe into alleged misuse of funds.
MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said the investigation into the allegations against him is expected to be concluded within a week, with further updates to be provided as necessary.
“MACC has completed recording the senior officer’s statement for today, and he was released at 5 pm,” said Azam when contacted.
Earlier, the officer, who is in his 60s, arrived at the MACC headquarters at around 10.10 am.
It is understood that yesterday’s session lasted about 13 hours, beginning at 11 am, and the officer was allowed to return home at midnight.
