SAN FRANCISCO, Jan 15 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- Six people were killed, and one was seriously injured Wednesday in a traffic accident in Northern California, the United States, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), reported Xinhua.
The crash occurred around 10 am local time (1800 GMT) in Tehama County in the northern Sacramento Valley, where a pickup truck crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic and struck a county transit bus head-on, the CHP said.
The bus, with five passengers and a driver on board, caught fire after the collision, it said, adding that both drivers and four passengers were pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
