Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque Holds Prayers For Brunei Sultan

SHAH ALAM, Jan 16 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, decreed that the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque here hold a Yasin recitation and doa selamat for the well-being of the Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, who is scheduled to undergo knee surgery this weekend.

The prayers, held prior to Friday prayers and led by Selangor Mufti Datuk Dr Anhar Opir, were announced today in a Facebook post by the Selangor Royal Office.

On Tuesday, Brunei’s Prime Minister’s Office announced that His Majesty is scheduled to undergo right knee joint replacement surgery on Jan 18, with his recovery expected to take two to three months, including physiotherapy.
