6.4-Magnitude Quake Hits Papua New Guinea Region -- GFZ

HONG KONG, Jan 20 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 jolted Papua New Guinea Region at 0722 GMT on Tuesday, said the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences, reported Xinhua.

The epicentre, with a depth of 104.8 kilometres, was initially determined to be at a latitude of 5.33 degrees south and at a longitude of 145.93 degrees east.
