5.7-Magnitude Quake Hits Java, Indonesia: GFZ

HONG KONG, Jan 27 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted Java, Indonesia, at 0120 GMT on Tuesday, said the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences, reported Xinhua.

The epicentre, with a depth of 120.8 kilometres, was initially determined to be at a latitude of 8.07 degrees south and a longitude of 11.36 degrees east.
