SEREMBAN, Jan 30 (Bernama) -- Efforts to expand the Kopiesatu network, operated by the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), have been described as a strategic move to widen entrepreneurial opportunities and stimulate local economic growth.
Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said the initiative not only creates space for local entrepreneurs to grow, but also has the potential to strengthen the community economic value chain, through the involvement of small and medium industry players.
He said FAMA has developed 23 Kopiesatu outlets nationwide, with the latest branch, at Dataran Senawang, offering a comprehensive licensing model, which includes training, operational guidance, the use of sales systems, promotional support and continuous monitoring.
“This approach demonstrates FAMA’s commitment to producing more competitive, sustainable entrepreneurs, who grow together with local brands,” he said in a statement today.
Meanwhile, FAMA chairman Aminuddin Zulkipli said the outlet operates under a licensing business model, which serves as a strategic initiative to create marketing platforms and expand entrepreneurial opportunities, especially in the locally produced coffee-based food and beverage (F&B) sector.
He said Kopiesatu licensing model offered by FAMA provides comprehensive support to entrepreneurs, covering administrative matters, courses and training, the use of point-of-sale (POS) software systems, official uniform sets, promotion and publicity, operational monitoring, and other related costs.
“This approach is intended to ensure that every Kopiesatu outlet operates in accordance with the established quality standards and brand identity,” he said in the same statement.
He added that the Kopiesatu licensing programme also offers several business packages, including the Kiosk Package, Food Truck Package (new and existing) and the Push Cart Package, providing entrepreneurs with flexibility, based on location suitability and business capacity.
