MAM Awards 2025: Hafizh Syahrin Named As International Circuit Racing Rider Of The Year

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 5 (Bernama) -- JDT Racing Team rider Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah was named the International Circuit Racing Rider of the Year at the Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM) Awards Night 2025, here, today.

Now in its fifth edition, the award also recognised Honda Racing Malaysia rider Azroy Hakeem Anuar, who was named as the National Circuit Racing Rider of the Year, while 2025 Spanish Superbike Championship (ESBK) champion Qabil Irfan Azlan sealed the Young Rider of the Year award.

The event was graced by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Also present were Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari, Ministry of Youth and Sports secretary-general Datuk Dr K Nagulendran and MAM president Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir.

Speaking at the event, Mokhzani said the awards were not merely victories for the winners, but a recognition of discipline, resilience and professionalism across every level in motorsports.

“With the expansion to 30 award categories, we are ensuring that every pathway, from grassroots development to international championships, is recognised and valued. 

“This platform reflects how far Malaysian motorsports has come, and where it is headed,” he said.

10. National Drifter of the Year – Kuah Ming Hui 
11. National Gymkhana Driver of the Year – Stella Sigi
12. National Karting (Cadet) of the Year – Aydrae Amit Janardhan Logan
13. National Karting (Junior) of the Year – Slabbert Mika Francois
14. National Karting (Senior) of the Year – Zarief Rayqal Fahruddin
15. National Driver of the Year – Aaron Hakim Mohamad Haikal
16. International Driver of the Year – Naquib Nor Azlan
17. Female Driver of the Year – Kuah Ming Hui 
18. Young Driver of the Year – Slabbert Mika Francois
