KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 6 (Bernama) -- The 2025 Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) examination results, announced yesterday, have been described as encouraging, with candidates nationwide recording positive achievements.

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said the examination was significant as it involved the first cohort to complete the Upper Secondary Integrated Dini Curriculum (KBD) and the Form Six Dini Curriculum over a three-year study period.

She said curriculum enhancements developed in collaboration with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif have yielded positive outcomes, with the National Grade Point Average (GPA) recorded at 2.81, while candidates from schools under the Ministry of Education (MOE) achieved a commendable average of 2.63.

A total of 61 candidates obtained the Mumtaz (Excellent) grade in all 10 subjects, including 30 from MOE schools, while 2,816 candidates overall met the requirements to be awarded the STAM certificate.

“Candidates also demonstrated their ability to adapt to the new examination format introduced for four core subjects: Hifz al-Quran and Tajwid, Tauhid and Mantiq, Hadith and Mustolah, as well as Insya’ and Mutalaah,” she said in a Facebook post today.

Fadhlina added that 4,382 candidates registered for the examination at 135 centres nationwide, with attendance reaching 98.7 per cent. Attendance among MOE school candidates was higher at 99.1 per cent.

She also expressed appreciation to teachers, parents, staff, administrators and invigilators for ensuring the smooth conduct of the examination.

“To all candidates, may this success serve as motivation to continue striving for excellence in the future,” she added.
