KUANTAN, Feb 9 (Bernama) -- A human skeleton, believed to be of a woman, was found in a bush-covered drain near the Damai Taha Flats in Mentakab, Temerloh, yesterday.
Temerloh Police chief ACP Mohd Nasyim Bahron said the police received information from the public at noon.
"Initial investigations led to the discovery of a human skeleton, believed to be that of a woman based on the clothing found at the site.
"The remains have been sent to the Forensic Department of the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital in Temerloh," he said in a statement today.
Mohd Nasyim added that further investigations are ongoing, and a Sudden Death Report (SDR) has been opened pending the full forensic report.
He urged anyone with information regarding the case to contact investigating officer Insp Mohd Razzi Ismail at 017-231 4245.
