PUTRAJAYA, March 12 (Bernama) -- The National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) will open a special visit session for families and guardians of clients who are currently following the Institutional Treatment and Rehabilitation Programme at Narcotics Addiction Rehabilitation Centres (PUSPEN) nationwide in conjunction with Aidilfitri.

Its director-general Datuk Ruslin Jusoh said the visit session would be open from March 30 to April 3, except for PUSPEN in Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah which will start a day earlier, from March 29 to April 2.

He said the initiative is aimed at strengthening family ties as well as providing the necessary moral support to AADK clients.

"This special visit also provides space and opportunity for families or guardians to meet the clients in a friendly manner, apart from being a therapeutic approach in supporting their recovery process," he said in a statement today.

In this regard, Ruslin said families or guardians who wish to participate in the special visit session are requested to contact the Rehabilitation Officer at their respective PUSPEN via phone call, short message (SMS), WhatsApp application message, letter or email.

"The public can also contact the relevant PUSPEN to obtain further information on this special visit session or contact the AADK Hotline at 1-800-22-2235 or 019-626 2233 (WhatsApp) to obtain advisory services or make complaints regarding drug problems," he said.
