MADANI Gov't Has Achieved Much In Past Three Years - Nga

IPOH, March 15 (Bernama) -- The MADANI Government has managed several achievements of note in the past three years, Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming shared recently.

The achievements include turning the Malaysian Ringgit into the best performing currency in Asia, and reducing the national jobless rate to 2.9 per cent, the lowest in the past 11 years.

“In conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026, Malaysia is expected to attract over 47 million tourists from all over the world. This is an achievement by the MADANI Government that all Malaysians can be proud of,” he said at Teluk Intan DAP’s 60th anniversary celebrations yesterday.

He also pointed out that the MADANI Government, led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, was always prepared and acted swiftly to tackle global uncertainty by implementing various measures to help the people.

He pointed out how the MADANI Government is still absorbing the pressure of high costs of petrol to ensure that Malaysians need not have to purchase petrol at higher prices, even as the price of petrol in neighbouring Singapore has risen to RM10.30 a litre.

“BUDI95, at the price of RM1.99, is a huge initiative by the MADANI Government to assist the people. To reduce government expenditure, the Prime Minister has also instructed ministers and civil servants to suspend official visits abroad unless for very urgent matters,” he added.

The Cabinet has also decided to hold the National Economic Action Council meetings weekly to discuss immediate measures to face rapid changes at the international level, Nga said.

“These measures prove that under the leadership of the MADANI Government, the country is able to maintain political stability and face the global war crisis and minimise its effects on the economy,” he said.
