Iran Urges Neighbours To Expel Foreign Aggressors

TEHRAN, March 16 (Bernama-MNA) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has called on their neighbours to expel the foreign aggressors from the region, especially as their only concern is Israel, Mehr News Agency (MNA) reported.

In a post on his X account on Saturday, Iran’s top diplomat wrote, "The touted US security umbrella has proved to be full of holes and inviting rather than deterring trouble.”

The Strait of Hormuz effectively remains closed amid the US-Israeli war with Iran, which entered its 15th day on Saturday. Iran says the strait is closed to tankers and ships of enemies. 

Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump urged France, Britain, China, Japan, and South Korea to keep the key waterway open through which 20 per cent of global oil and gas travels.
