PUTRAJAYA, March 17 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of National Unity has announced that applications for admission to Tabika Perpaduan for the 2027 session are open from March 15 to August 31 and can be submitted online.

Applicants must be Malaysian citizens with a birth certificate and MyKad, aged between four and six years. Priority is given to children whose parents’ residence or workplace is within 10 kilometres of the Tabika Perpaduan location.

“Tabika Perpaduan offers quality preschool education with a structured curriculum to prepare children for Year One,” the ministry said.

Starting this year, the kindergarten is implementing the 2026 Preschool Curriculum, which emphasises comprehensive development in cognitive, emotional, and personality aspects, along with instilling values of unity and nationhood.

Currently, there are 1,781 Tabika Perpaduan nationwide, serving 34,817 students, making them a key platform for early education and fostering a spirit of unity among children.

Minister of National Unity Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, in the same statement, said Tabika Perpaduan are being strengthened under the Tabika Perpaduan Early Childhood Education Plan 2021-2030, which is a strategic initiative to enhance early childhood programmes and cultivate a generation with patriotism and noble values.

“This plan includes comprehensive improvements in curriculum, teaching and learning methods, teacher professionalism, governance, community collaboration, and monitoring systems,” he said.

He said the plan contains six main thrusts, including reinforcing nationhood, unity, and noble values in the curriculum, enhancing teacher professionalism, strengthening community engagement, improving teaching methods, governance, and monitoring mechanisms.

Aaron encouraged parents and guardians to register their children at Tabika Perpaduan to receive quality early education in an environment that nurtures harmony and unity in Malaysia’s diverse society.
