KUALA LUMPUR, March 18 (Bernama) -- In the spirit of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, SIRIM Berhad has released a heartfelt festive short film titled “Jalinan Kasih”, centred on family values and human connections.

More than just a seasonal production, the film explores universal themes such as the true meaning of homecoming, the courage to change, and the importance of mending strained family relationships.

In a statement, SIRIM said “Jalinan Kasih” stands apart from typical festive advertisements by presenting a storyline grounded in real-life emotions, including longing, personal journeys and the hope for reconciliation.

“The film tells the story of an individual who has drifted away from his family, and how the meaningful moments of Hari Raya become a turning point for him to return home, seek forgiveness and rebuild broken ties,” the statement said.

SIRIM added that the narrative delves into the inner conflicts often experienced by those living far from their loved ones, while reminding audiences that returning home during Hari Raya is not merely a physical act, but also an emotional journey of rediscovery.

“It is a story of hope, that as long as there is longing in the heart, it is never too late to return to one’s family and restore bonds of love,” it said.

The short film “Jalinan Kasih” is now available on SIRIM Berhad’s official YouTube channel and across its social media platforms.
