KUALA LUMPUR, April 8 (Bernama) -- Jolicare, a herbal skin-repair brand specialising in dry, itchy and sensitive skin, has expanded its presence to more than 1,000 retail outlets nationwide, marking a strategic shift from an online-led model to broader offline accessibility.

In a statement today, the company said the rollout includes established pharmacy chains such as HealthLane, Alpro Pharmacy and Guardian.

It added that Guardian has come on board as a nationwide retail partner following Jolicare’s participation in the Guardian x Tastefully Health Expo from Feb 6 to 8, boosting the brand’s visibility in mainstream health and personal care channels.

In the same statement, founder and chief executive officer Caleb Wong said the rapid expansion was driven by strong organic consumer demand.

“What’s been most striking for us is how quickly this has grown. Not too long ago, we were in about 20 stores. Now we’re in more than 1,000 across the country.

"A lot of that came from customers going into pharmacies and asking for Jolicare by name. That was a big signal for us. It showed that people didn’t just want to buy us online, they wanted to be able to get Jolicare easily when they actually needed it," he said.

According to Jolicare, the shift to offline retail reflects changing consumer behaviour in how skincare products, particularly functional ones, are discovered and purchased, with trust and immediacy playing a crucial role.

"For many customers dealing with dry, itchy, and sensitive skin, the ability to access solutions quickly at nearby pharmacies plays a critical role in purchase decisions," the statement read.

By expanding into established retail networks, the company aims to bring its products closer to the point of need while strengthening credibility through placement alongside trusted pharmacy brands.

The brand also holds a Malaysia Book of Records title for the “Most Skin Repair Creams Sold in a Year” (July 2025), having sold over 100,000 units and recorded more than 20,000 five-star reviews across multiple platforms.

Jolicare Cream is Global GMP-certified, registered with Malaysia’s Ministry of Health and Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority and has undergone laboratory testing by SGS and MyCO2.
