MATTA Fair N. Sembilan Targets 20,000 Visitors, RM5 Mln Sales

SEREMBAN, April 8 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Association of Tour and Tourism Agents (MATTA) Negeri Sembilan Branch is targeting 20,000 visitors with an estimated sales of RM5 million at the state-level MATTA Fair from April 24 to 26 at Palm Mall here.

Its chairman Lee Fook Moi said the event focuses on domestic tourism in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year and Visit Negeri Sembilan Year 2026, as well as aiming to strengthen the local tourism industry.

"The MATTA Fair brings together various travel agencies, airlines and local tourism product operators offering special packages with savings of between 30 and 40 per cent off the regular price.

"The fair features 56 exhibition booths involving the participation of licensed travel agents, tourism organisations, airlines, hotels and theme parks, including the participation of Tourism Malaysia Central Region as continuous support for the promotion of domestic tourism," she said at a media conference here today.

She said the event reflects the positive momentum of the domestic tourism industry as well as the readiness of industry players to continue to grow.

Lee hopes that this time the MATTA Fair Negeri Sembilan will not only benefit consumers, but also contribute to the state's economic growth through increased domestic tourist movement.

The fair is also strengthened by the strategic collaboration of RHB Bank Berhad as the official bank sponsor, thus reflecting the industry's high confidence in MATTA Fair Negeri Sembilan.
