KUALA LUMPUR, April 12 (Bernama) -- Kuching City FC exploded into life in the second half to gun down PDRM FC 4-1 in their Super League match at the Sarawak State Stadium tonight.
The home team shot ahead after just one minute through Wanja Roland Ngah, but visitors PDRM equalised through Muhammad Amirul Waie Yaakob in the 42nd minute.
But there was no stopping Sarawak after the break as they found their rhythm, with Muhammad Ramadan Saifullah stealing the show with a brace in the 47th and 61st minutes before Jerome Mpacko Etame completed the rout with a 67th-minute strike.
The victory allowed Kuching City to leap into second spot with 43 points from 20 matches, followed by Selangor in third, also with 43 points but with an inferior goal difference and having played a game more. Reigning champions Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) lead the table with 61 points from 21 matches.
In another match at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi, home team Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) had to settle for a 2-2 draw with DPMM FC.
The home team shot ahead in the 30th minute when their Japan import, Takumi Sasaki, drilled the ball home after receiving a pass from A. Selvan.
DPMM FC, however, hit back to 2-1 ahead through Okechukwu Christian Irobiso in the 49th minute and Muhammad Hakeme Yazid Said in the 60th minute.
Undaunted, NSFC fought back to draw level in the 73rd minute through Joseph Esso's headed goal.
The draw allowed NSFC to remain in sixth spot in the 13-team Super League standings with 23 points, while DPMM are eighth with 22 points.
