Ahmad Zahid Praises National Quran Recitation And Memorisation Champs

KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi congratulated the champions of the National Quran Recitation and Memorisation Competition 1447H/2026M.

In a Facebook post today, Ahmad Zahid said he hoped their success at the event, which wrapped up in Terengganu last night, would inspire young people to draw closer to the Quran, understand it better and reflect its teachings in their daily lives.

"May both of them be blessed with success as they carry Malaysia’s flag on the international stage. Insya-Allah," he said.

The men’s title went to Cik Hasnul Taqiyuddin Cik Sazali of Perak, while Sarawakian Nur Syakura Mohamad Musa won the women’s title.

Cik Hasnul Taqiyuddin, 25, is a third-year student of Quran and Sunnah at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, while Nur Syakura, 31, is a Quran teacher supervisor with the Sarawak Islamic Council.
