Paris St Germain Named Team Of The Year At Laureus Awards

LONDON, April 21 (Bernama-PA Media/dpa) -- Paris St Germain have been named Team of the Year at the Laureus World Sports Awards, reported PA Media/dpa.

The event, held in Madrid on Monday night, is widely dubbed as the Oscars of sport and PSG were one of the big winners.

PSG celebrated a maiden Champions League title in 2025 along with Ligue 1 and Coupe de France success to earn plaudits before further silverware followed.

A UEFA Super Cup was secured last August and PSG also celebrated forward Ousmane Dembele winning the Ballon d'Or.

While Dembele missed out on Sportsman of the Year on Monday, Luis Enrique's team left Madrid with another accolade.

"This accolade thus confirms the strength of the Parisian project, built around performance, teamwork and youth. Paris St Germain – who will play in the Champions League semi-finals – continues to develop with ambition and high standards at the very highest level," a PSG statement read.
