KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 (Bernama) -- Boustead Holdings Berhad (Boustead) today formalised three strategic collaborations at the Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference 2026 (DSA 2026), reinforcing its role in supporting Malaysia's defence ecosystem and broader industrial landscape.

The first memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the company and Affin Bank Berhad to advance financial collaboration across its business ecosystem.

Boustead, a Malaysian investment holding company wholly owned by Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (“LTAT”), also signed MoUs with MS Waste Management Sdn Bhd (MS Waste) to explore scheduled waste management and environmental solutions and Netcom X Sdn Bhd (Netcom X) to support the development of defence telecommunications and digital infrastructure.

Boustead Group Managing Director, Datuk Dr Ahmad Sabirin Arshad said the collaborations reflect the group's continued efforts to strengthen the ecosystem that supports its operations and stakeholders.

"From enabling access to financial solutions to advancing environmental responsibility and strengthening digital infrastructure, each partnership plays a role in enhancing resilience and long-term value creation," he said in a statement today.

He added that the group remains focused on delivering structured, strategic collaborations that support national priorities while enabling sustainable growth across its business segments.

The MoUs were signed by Ahmad Sabirin alongside Affin Islamic Bank Berhad Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Syed Mashafuddin Syed Badarudin; MS Waste Chairman, Datuk Abdul Rahman Abdul Rahim; and Netcom X Chairman, Maj Gen Datuk T Azharan T Putra (R).

The signing ceremony at the Boustead pavilion was witnessed by the Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.

Detailing the partnerships, the collaboration with Affin focuses on facilitating financial solutions across Boustead's network, including the assessment of financing requirements, banking support, and potential project-based engagements to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.

The partnership with MS Waste will explore opportunities in scheduled waste management, recovery, and environmental compliance, supporting sustainable practices across defence-related and industrial environments.

Meanwhile, the collaboration with Netcom X will establish a strategic framework to jointly participate in telecommunications and broadband infrastructure projects for the Malaysian Armed Forces, including areas such as network deployment, integration, and long-term infrastructure development.
