KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 (Bernama) -- A Jordan Mintah late penalty goal handed visitors Kuching City FC a 2-2 draw against hosts DPMM FC in their Super League match at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, tonight.
Kuching City opened the scoring in the sixth minute when Ahmad Danial Ahmad Asri slotted home a perfect cross from Wanja Ronald Ngah.
DPMM, however, equalised in the 23rd minute when Jordan de Paula Rodrigues prodded home from close range following a corner.
The home team then went ahead 2-1 seven minutes later through Jordan David Murray, who calmly finished off a pass from Muhammad Syafiq Ahmad, following a swift move initiated by skipper Muhammad Azwan Ali Rahman.
With just minutes left, a clash between Jordan de Paula Rodrgues and Jordan Mintah inside the penalty box led to the referee awarding a penalty to the visitors.
Jordan Mintah, tasked with taking the spot kick, made it 2-2 in the final minutes after reacting quickest to a rebound to beat goalkeeper Muhammad Haimie Abdullah Nyaring.
Over at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium, Terengganu FC (TFC) could only draw 2-2 with Negri Sembilan FC (NSFC) in another Super League match.
Home team TFC shot into a 2-0 lead after Yann Mabella netted in the 16th minute before Raianderson Da Costa finished off a cross from Garvene Kastaneer in the 33rd minute.
Although TFC’s Diego Landis scored in the 55th minute, the goal was chalked off by referee Mohd Hasrol Mohd Amir for offside.
TFC were then punished in the 77th minute when NSFC were awarded a penalty when TFC defender Muhamad Shahrul Nizam Ros Hasni fouled Ariff Ar-Rasyid Ariffin, and Joseph Esso calmly slotted from the spot to narrow the deficit.
Esso then struck again in the 82nd minute, netting the equaliser after receiving a pass from Kyaw Min Oo.
