Bernama Pays Courtesy Call On AKPS Chief, Eyes Strategic Cooperation

PUTRAJAYA, April 30 (Bernama) -- The top management of the Malaysian National News Agency paid a courtesy call on the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) director-general, Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain, at his office here today.

Led by chief executive officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, the Bernama delegation also includes editor-in-chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj, deputy editor-in-chief (News Service) Mohd Shukri Ishak and acting deputy editor-in-chief (Economic News Service) Harlina Samson.

Present at the meeting were AKPS deputy director-general (Management) Ismail Mokhtar, deputy director-general (Policy) Zuraini Othman and director of investigations and prosecution SAC Lee King Chuan.

The meeting, which lasted more than an hour, marked the first engagement between Bernama’s top management and AKPS, aimed at strengthening strategic ties and cooperation, particularly in delivering accurate information to the public.

Discussions, among others, touched on efforts to enhance collaboration in raising public awareness of AKPS’s roles and responsibilities through Bernama’s various platforms.

The Bernama delegation also exchanged views and pledged support to help AKPS strengthen its communication strategies and publicise the agency’s achievements more effectively.
