KUALA LUMPUR, May 2 (Bernama) — After leaving fans feeling “hanging” following the RadjaWali concert in January, Indonesian band Wali finally made up for the disappointment with their ‘Konsert Wali Kembali’, held in an emotionally charged atmosphere at the Bukit Jalil National Hockey Stadium on Friday night.
The nearly two-hour non-stop performance not only rekindled longing among fans, but also became a space for emotional expression for the thousands in attendance. The dress code—white for singles and black for couples—added a symbolic touch, colouring the night with deeper meaning.
As early as 5 pm, the area around the stadium was already packed with fans from Malaysia and abroad, including Indonesia, Singapore and Brunei, all eager not to miss the performance by the popular Indonesian group.

Despite heavy rain before the concert began, it did little to dampen spirits, with loyal fans waiting it out as the weather eventually cleared, as if making way for the long-anticipated evening.
At precisely 8.40 pm, Wali opened the show to thunderous cheers, reflecting the long wait by fans, further heightened by a lineup of nostalgic hit songs.
The group, comprising vocalist Faank, guitarist Apoy, drummer Tomi and keyboardist Ovie, performed 15 iconic songs, including Kekasih Halal, Cari Berkah, Si Udin Bertanya and Nenek Pahlawanku.

Reflecting on their previous concert that could not be completed, Faank said there was wisdom behind the setback, as it paved the way for a more meaningful reunion this time.
“Do you still want more? Oh Allah, so many people are here. We are Your servants oh Allah, thank You for gathering us all here.
“Hopefully, this gathering becomes a bond of friendship among us and a means for us to receive the intercession of the Prophet in the hereafter,” he said, to roaring applause from the crowd.

Throughout the concert, Faank also took time to interact with fans and share prayers for them.
“Let us pray that those who are single will be blessed with good partners, and that those in relationships will remain together until the end of their lives,” he said, prompting fans to respond with a heartfelt “amen”.
One of the most touching moments came during the performance of Doaku Untukmu Sayang, when the entire stadium transformed into a sea of smartphone lights.

Some fans were seen shedding tears, carried away by the emotional lyrics that stirred personal memories.
Songs such as Tobat Maksiat, Yank, Aku Bukan Bang Toyib and Cari Jodoh, which had not been performed previously, were finally delivered towards the end of the concert, completing what had once been left unfinished.
Their appearance sparked excitement as the audience rose to their feet, singing and dancing together, as if releasing emotions long held since the earlier concert.
