“Honestly, I did not expect this at all. I am still new to theatre and have immense respect for everyone in it. Every time I work alongside them, I am in awe of their talent.
“I often feel small compared to them, especially with their far superior abilities in singing and dancing. When I saw the list of nominees earlier, I felt my performance was far behind,” she said in a statement today.
In addition to Masmoona, she also starred in Visits, a theatre production by Dramalab directed by Ida Nerina, alongside Sofia Jane and Nadia Aqilah, who were also nominated in several categories.
In the acting categories, Ileana Matin won Best Lead Actress (Musical Theatre) for School of Rock, The Musical, while Scottish actor Kingsley Judd took home Best Lead Actor (Theatre) for his role as Edward in Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me.

Meanwhile, two productions — Fragments of Tuah by Five Arts Centre and Setanggi Tari Melayu 2025 – Quintessential Malay Dance by ASK Dance Company — were announced as winners of the top category, Best of 2025.
Both works triumphed over other finalists, including A Salute to Cinema, Animal Farm, TEWAS: No Light at the End of the Tunnel, and Visits.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Mohd Anis Md Nor in recognition of his contributions to zapin dance and Malaysia’s performing arts scene.
