TEHRAN, May 12 (Bernama-IRNA) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will visit to India and participate in the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ meeting.
Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Esmail Baqaei made the announcement in an interview with India Today Global on Tuesday.
He said that Iran and India are both members of BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and have a good level of cooperation and coordination in both organisations.
Baqaei added that the simultaneous meeting is of importance to Iran and Tehran looks forward to bilateral meetings with other ministers participating in this event, including the foreign minister of India as a friendly country.
India is hosting the BRICS foreign ministers' meeting in New Delhi on May 14 and15.
