ALOR SETAR, May 13 (Bernama) -- The Jitra Half Marathon (JHM), organised by Bina Darulaman Berhad (BDB), will return on Sept 19, targeting a record 2,200 participants.
BDB Group chief executive officer Che Abdul Khalid Md Din said JHM 2026 returns to the calendar of events of BDB Leisure Sdn Bhd after it was last held in 2023.
“JHM 2026, to be held at Darulaman Park, Jitra, is targeting 2,200 participants, comprising both local and international runners, who will compete in three main categories — 21 kilometres (km), 10 km and 5 km.
“This time, JHM 2026 comes back in greater style and confidence, offering attractive prizes, including cash rewards and various lucky draw items for participants,” he said.
He added that the organisers hoped the public, not only from Kedah but also from across the country and abroad, would not miss the opportunity to take part in this year’s JHM.
“JHM was first organised in 2022 and attracted 1,200 participants, with the number increasing to 1,500 the following year.
“The public is encouraged to take advantage of the early bird registration offer, open until May 31, with fees set at RM80 for the 21 km category, RM65 (10 km) and RM50 for the 5 km Fun Run,” he said.
He said for the registration period from June 1 to July 31, participation fees would be RM95 (21 km), RM85 (10 km) and RM65 (5 km).
