MINA, May 24 (Bernama-SPA) -- Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has developed updated "You Are Here" wayfinding signs to facilitate the movement of pilgrims and Umrah performers within the Grand Mosque.
Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported the upgrade was intended to help pilgrims reach their destinations with ease, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the experience of visitors to the Grand Mosque.
The development work included updating the content of the signs based on continuous modifications and improvements to services and facilities inside the Grand Mosque, ensuring the accuracy of the information provided, and keeping pace with field changes.
It stressed that this step comes within the framework of its commitment to advancing the efficiency of the spatial guidance system by providing clear and updated information that helps visitors identify their locations and move effectively, especially during peak periods.
The updated signs also contribute to reducing congestion resulting from inquiries and improving crowd flow, supporting organisational efforts, and enhancing the overall visitor experience.
