Pahang Extends Quit Rent Payment Deadline To June 30 - MB

25/05/2026 05:18 PM

KUANTAN, May 25 (Bernama) -- The Pahang state government has agreed to extend the 2026 quit rent payment period to June 30 from the original May 31 deadline.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the extension also includes a waiver of the 10 per cent late payment penalty normally imposed on overdue quit rent payments.

He said the decision was made in view of the extended holiday period throughout May, giving the public more time and convenience to settle their payments.

“Quit rent payment is an important responsibility of every landowner, and the revenue collected enables the state government to implement development programmes, provide infrastructure, enhance public services and safeguard the welfare of the people of Pahang,” he said in a statement today.

Wan Rosdy also urged taxpayers to take advantage of the extension to settle their payments promptly to avoid future enforcement action.

He said the state government remains committed to ensuring efficient revenue management to safeguard Pahang’s financial stability and support ongoing development initiatives for the benefit of the people.
