PM Anwar Commends RMAF's Service, Dedication On 68th Anniversary

KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended his deep appreciation to all personnel and veterans of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) for their service, contributions and dedication in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty and security.

Anwar, in a Facebook post in conjunction with the RMAF’s 68th anniversary celebration today, said the force has long remained a steadfast guardian of the country’s airspace, carrying out its duties with courage, professionalism and sacrifice.

“The service, contributions and dedication of all RMAF personnel and veterans are deeply appreciated in ensuring that Malaysia’s sovereignty, security and peace continue to be preserved.

“Al-Fatihah to the RMAF personnel who have passed on. May their souls be showered with blessings and placed among the righteous,” he said.

The Prime Minister, while extending 68th anniversary greetings to the RMAF, prayed that the force would continue to uphold excellence, professionalism and readiness in carrying out its responsibilities for the nation's security.

The RMAF’s anniversary is celebrated on June 1 each year to commemorate the establishment of the country’s air defence force.
