Ibrahim Esa Named New JKR Director-general Of Works

PUTRAJAYA, June 8 (Bernama) -- The Deputy Director-General of Works (Building Sector), Datuk Ibrahim Esa, has been named Director-General of Works at the Public Works Department (JKR), effective today.

Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar announced the appointment in a statement today.

“I believe his vast experience and technical expertise will drive JKR’s excellence as the country’s key infrastructure agency and improve the efficiency of development project delivery to the highest standards,” he said.

Ibrahim, 58, graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

He has accumulated 32 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in infrastructure development and public facilities project management.
