Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain To Hit Parts Of Five States Until 7 Pm

KUALA LUMPUR, June 27 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in five states until 7 pm today.

In a statement, MetMalaysia said the affected areas are Kelantan (Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Bachok and Pasir Puteh), Terengganu (Kuala Nerus and Kuala Terengganu), and Johor (Mersing and Kota Tinggi).

Similar weather conditions are also expected in Sarawak, involving Kuching, Serian (Serian), Samarahan and Betong.

In Sabah, the adverse weather is forecast to affect the West Coast districts of Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Kota Belud.
