AISED International Conference To Drive Sustainable Development In AI Era
KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 (Bernama) -- The Asia Institute of Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Diplomacy (AiSED), Asia e University (AeU) and Gaine Academy today signed a Memorandum of Agreement to organise the AiSED International Conference 2026, to be held from Dec 2 to 4 at the Shah Alam Convention Centre in Selangor.
The conference, held under the patronage of Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, who serves as AiSED's patron, will bring together thought leaders, policymakers, academics, researchers, entrepreneurs and industry players to discuss the future of sustainable development in the era of artificial intelligence (AI).
Themed "Harnessing AI, Empowering Innovation, Advancing Sustainable Futures Through Entrepreneurship and Diplomacy", the conference is expected to attract participants from Malaysia and abroad, representing the government, academia, industry, professional bodies, international organisations and the entrepreneurial community.
Conference chairman Professor Datuk Dr Nik Maheran Nik Muhammad said the world was facing a range of emerging challenges that required a more inclusive and collaborative approach.
"The development of AI is advancing at an extremely rapid pace. At the same time, the world is grappling with climate change, economic uncertainty, skills gaps and geopolitical challenges.
"Therefore, we need a platform that can connect knowledge, technology, policy and action to produce solutions that benefit the global community," he said in a statement today.
He stressed that the conference was not merely an academic platform but a strategic forum to explore the ethical and responsible use of AI to accelerate innovation, strengthen economic competitiveness and support the Sustainable Development Goals.
He said the collaboration between AiSED, AeU and Gaine Academy also reflected a shared commitment to advancing human capital development, expanding international collaboration networks and delivering high-impact solutions to current challenges.
Conference participants will have the opportunity to attend keynote addresses by leading global figures, expert forums, research presentations, workshops, strategic networking sessions and roundtable discussions focusing on AI, innovation, entrepreneurship, diplomacy and sustainability.
Selected papers may get to be published in internationally indexed journals, including SCOPUS and MyCITE, further enhancing the conference's academic and research impact.
The organisers also welcomed participation from universities, government agencies, corporations, professional bodies, diplomatic missions, researchers and entrepreneurs to contribute ideas and build collaborations that can help shape a more sustainable and inclusive future.
The AiSED International Conference 2026 is expected to become one of the region's most significant international platforms for strengthening thought leadership, innovation and global collaboration, while positioning Malaysia as a leader in shaping discussions on future development in the AI era.
