NEW YORK, Sept 20 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar increased in late trading on Thursday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up by 0.02 per cent to 100.614 at 3.00 pm (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro advanced to US$1.1165 from US$1.1147 in the previous session, and the British pound was up to US$1.3282 from US$1.3247 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 142.66 Japanese yen, higher than 141.14 yen of the previous session. It rose to 0.8470 Swiss francs from 0.8433 francs previously, and fell to C$1.3556 from C$1.3575 in the previous session.
Against the Swedish Krona, the greenback was down to 10.1558 Kronor from 10.1731 Kronor previously.
